1Overview
W5D ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our platform. By using W5D you agree to the practices described herein.
2Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly: account registration data (name, email, username), billing information (processed by our payment processors), profile data, and content you create or upload. We also collect usage data automatically: IP addresses, browser type, device identifiers, pages visited, click patterns, and session duration.
3How we use your information
We use your data to: (a) provide, maintain, and improve the Service; (b) process transactions and send billing communications; (c) send operational emails such as security alerts and product updates; (d) prevent fraud and enforce our Terms; (e) comply with legal obligations; and (f) respond to support requests.
6Data retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. After account deletion we retain data for up to 90 days in backups, then permanently delete it, unless longer retention is required by law. Usage logs are retained for 12 months.
7Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption in transit, AES-256 encryption at rest, access controls, security monitoring, and regular penetration testing. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to: access the personal data we hold about you; correct inaccurate data; request deletion ("right to be forgotten"); restrict or object to processing; and data portability. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@w5d.io. We respond within 30 days.
9Children
The Service is not intended for individuals under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.
10International transfers
Your data may be processed in countries other than your own. We ensure adequate protections are in place through data processing agreements and, where applicable, standard contractual clauses approved by relevant regulatory authorities.
11Changes to this policy
We may update this policy periodically. When we make material changes we will notify you by email or by a prominent notice on the platform at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
